Lifestyle changes
My kids are now in school and I want to find a career suited for me.
I just became an ‘empty nester’ and I am looking for that job to fill the void, but it has to be a job I would enjoy.
I am now single again and need to find a job that doesn’t add to much more stress to my life. By utilizing my unique abilities, I can choose an enjoyable job.
We just added to our family and I now have to re-enter the workforce. What type of job would best suit me and my family’s needs?
Looking for options
I am so unhappy in my current position. I need to find a position more suited for my needs and abilities.
For some reason I just cannot get into the groove of my job. The tasks I have to perform in my current position are so challenging for me. What can I do in my current job to be more efficient?
I have just been offered a new position at my current company. Would this position suit my natural abilities?
In the past several years I have had several different jobs. I think I need to figure out what my strengths are so I can find a more permanent career.
I need to adapt more to the required job roles of my position. Knowing strengths and shortcomings is the best way to adapt to a changing work culture and environment (Hartung & Cadaret, 2017).
Leadership
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” (Ralph Waldo Emerson). Self-awareness increases leader effectiveness (Caldwell & Hayes, 2016). When a leader is aware of their strengths and challenges he/she can come up with strategies to complete goals utilizing strengths, and avoiding deficiencies.
Our most recent organizational studies state morale is low with my team. What strengths can I rely on to raise morale?
Understanding self leads to greater self-regulation (the ability to control one’s thoughts, emotions, and behavior so goals can be reached) (Rosenbach, 2018). Further, self-regulation leads to workplace resiliency (the ability to rebound and adapt to diversity and change in the world) (Rothstein, McLarnon, & King, 2016).
I need to understand myself better so I can complete goals more efficiently with my team.
